This is my second visit to Pura Lempuyang Luhur. It was a long drive to get to the temple, but it was an incredibly scenic one, so the drive and the time flew by incredibly quickly. This place is one of the holy places for Hindus in Bali with located on Puncak Hill or Bibis Mount Lempuyang, precisely in the village Purahayu Kec Abang, Karangasem.
This temple is thought to be among the oldest in Bali. Pura Lempuyang Luhur consists of six separate temples that are build into the slopes of Lempuyang mountain. A path leads up to the holiest sanctuary on the mountain’s top, 1.058 meters above sea level.
At the entrance of temple, we will be told to wear sarong (for those people doesn't bring sarong, they can rent with price Rp.10.000). After that, they will given instruction about the journey to the temple. After taking some stairs, Finally we met amazing Penataran Agung. *Yeay.. INHALE-EXHALE*
after that, we went to the second temple. This place has wide field, because of that they often use for a big ceremony like galungan.
Based on some website, this temple is the biggest temple in the appeal of the other temple in the lempuyangan's area and for other reason is PURA SAD KAHYANGAN is hits places on INSTAGRAM *hehe*, so we are satisfied even though only up to level two.
